On Saturday, September 19th, The Boys and Girls Clubs of Delaware will partake in a nationwide celebration, Day for Kids, encouraging and highlighting quality time spent between adults and the children in their lives. Day for Kids was established as a day to celebrate our children and invite the community to see the important work that is being done at the many Boys & Girls Clubs, across America.  This year, over 4000 B&G Clubs will participate in this event, each working to enact change within their community.

In Delaware

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Delaware was created to spread this nationwide movement even further, inspiring and enabling all young people to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.  The B&G Clubs of Delaware serves more than 25,000 youth annually, at their 42 club locations.

Currently, many youth struggle with serious issues that carry over into their adulthood: There are 15.1 million school-aged children coming home to an empty house daily, 16.1 million youth live in poverty, and 1 in every 4 students fail to graduate from high school.  These issues are crucial to address and Day for Kids works to shed a light on these issues by raising money to fund their work promoting positive growth for youth.
