The St. Anthony of Padua Grade School hosted a successful and entertaining Casino Night Fundraiser on Saturday, October 17th, as a means to meet the growing educational needs developing at Padua. The event brought in nearly $10,000, helping the school create a better and brighter future for each student. All proceeds raised from the Casino Night will allow the school to complete important technological upgrades within the school, introducing state of the art technology to the middle school classrooms and encourage interactive learning through innovation.

Over the years, the need for cutting edge technology in the classroom – such as tablets, laptops, and smartboards – has increased dramatically, making technology an integral component in providing students with an adaptive education. Technology in schools yields a variety of benefits such as aiding in the redistribution of funds within school budgets, creating more interactive lessons customized to each students’ needs and increasing student engagement and retention – both inside and outside of the classroom.

The Kenny Family Foundation has sponsored many of St. Anthony Grade School’s fundraising events over the years, directly impacting the quality of education and providing students with an opportunity to experience the power of philanthropy, first hand. Through our Young Consumer Program, designed to extend learning beyond the traditional classroom setting, we have worked closely with the students at St. Anthony’s and are grateful for the strong relationship we have developed with the school.

We are proud to offer another year of support by sponsoring St. Anthony of Padua Grade School’s first ever casino night fundraising event. Claudel Demosthene, an honorary School Board Member and a parent of two St. Anthony’s Grade School students, shared with The Kenny Family Foundation,

“The inaugural Casino Night Fundraiser, was successful in myriad ways as staff, parents, and community members came together to enjoy a fun night out, supporting the school and our future leaders.”

For one night, the school’s gymnasium was transformed into a casino, welcoming guests to a thrilling night of gambling and entertainment. Hosting the event at the school was a brilliant idea, allowing both the parents and supporters to draw inspiration from of where young minds and future leaders are educated each and every day. Claudel Demosthene states: “For someone who is not an avid gamer, like myself, casino nights can be intimidating. However, the dealers were extremely engaging and educated guests on each game, making the night enjoyable for everyone! Even though it was my first time playing craps, it easily became my favorite table and I was able to leave with my head held high. Thank you to The Kenny Family Foundation, for your tremendous support, I look forward to seeing the event grow in the years to come!”
