The Delaware Burger Battle is a collaboration uniting the restaurant and philanthropic communities, designed to raise money for individuals struggling with poverty and hunger. All proceeds raised at this event will go directly to support the Ministry of Caring and their work in the community. Since the event’s inception, The Kenny Family Foundation has worked closely with the folks of the Burger Battle, as the fundraiser’s presenting sponsor, donating all non-alcoholic beverages. This year’s fundraising goal is set at $14,000. If eating a few of the best burgers in the area will help our community and raise money for a commendable nonprofit organization, we are all in favor and hope to see you there too!
The Delaware Burger Battle was created to fulfill the Ministry of Caring’s fundraising needs specifically for their dining services program – The Emmanuel Dining Room. The Emmanuel Dining Room was founded in the early 80’s to alleviate the immediate needs of hunger in three separate economically depressed locations within Delaware. Each location serves on average 550 nutritious meals a day, without any attached cost or questioning. This restaurant fashioned dining room helps create a cheerful and welcoming environment for individuals to seek help as needed.
In the words of the Delaware Burger Battle their competition:
Brings together the best burgermeisters from all corners of Delaware to challenge each other for burger supremacy inside our Burger Battle Arena.
